Nareseal PVA Nasal Pack | Sterile Nasal Packing for Epistaxis & ENT Surgery

The Nareseal PVA Nasal Pack is a sterile, single-use polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) foam nasal dressing for anterior nasal haemostasis and post-operative nasal packing. On contact with blood or saline, the compressed foam expands uniformly to apply gentle, continuous pressure against the nasal mucosa — the clinical mechanism that makes PVA nasal packs the preferred choice over traditional ribbon gauze for ENT practice.

Clinical Applications

• Anterior epistaxis — first-line packing for persistent nosebleed unresponsive to direct pressure or cautery
• Post-septoplasty — bilateral nasal packing to splint the nasal septum and control mucosal ooze; the Pack of 2 is sized for simultaneous bilateral insertion, one pack per nostril
• Post-FESS — anterior nasal packing following functional endoscopic sinus surgery to support haemostasis and mucosal healing
• Post-rhinoplasty — internal nasal support and haemostasis following cosmetic or reconstructive nasal procedures

Size Selection Guide

• 4.5 cm — anterior nasal cavity, paediatric use, minor office-based procedures
• 8 cm — standard adult nasal packing; the most widely used size for anterior epistaxis and bilateral post-septoplasty packing
• 10 cm — deeper anterior reach for a larger nasal cavity or where extended post-operative packing is required

• Pack of 1 — unilateral epistaxis or single-nostril post-operative packing
• Pack of 2 — bilateral nasal packing; one pack per nostril, the standard for post-septoplasty and bilateral epistaxis
